Jack White Writes the Theme Song for Elvira's Movie Macabre

Man, the hits just keep coming for the 2010 incarnation of Elvira's Movie Macabre: I just learned that Jack White - possibly my favorite modern-day musician - has written the theme song for the show! YES. For more information, read Elvira's interview with Fangoria. Remember, the show premieres on Saturday, September 25th on KDOC in the L.A. area.

UPDATE: The theme song isn't an original JW tune written expressly for the show - it's the catchy "What Can I Do?" from mysterious Jack White-produced girl group the Black Belles.

P.S. Not Elvira-related, but I'm just so excited that Kellogg's has created special limited edition Pumpkin Pie Pop Tarts for the Halloween season! Is this real life?! (Psst: For more news about everyone's favorite fat orange gourd, go to Pumpkin Passion.)

Coming Soon: Night of the Living Dead at Hollywood Forever

After years of clamoring by horror fans, the good people at Cinespia Cemetery Screenings are finally giving the public what they've been so anxiously awaiting: A zombie movie screening at Hollywood Forever. And not just any zombie movie! On Saturday, September 18th Cinespia will project George A. Romero's 1968 masterwork Night of the Living Dead - the grandaddy of all modern zombie movies - onto the side of a mausoleum in the dark of an autumn night. Tickets are $10, and guests are welcome to bring their own food/booze. Gates open at 6:30 with the movie starting at 8 PM, but given how crowded these screenings have become in recent years, coupled with the insane genius of showing a movie about the walking dead in a place where the dead have been laid to rest, means that you should probably start lining up...oh, right about now.

I Was a Teenage Werewolf

I was a teenage werewolf
Braces on my fangs
I was a teenage werewolf
And no one even said thanks
And no one made me stop

I ran a two-minute mile
I had to blow my top
In the teen full moon
No one could make me stop
No one could make me stop

A teenage werewolf
A pair of little boys
A teenage girlfriend
Got a lot of scars
Somebody please make me stop
Ohhh please…

You know, I have puberty rights
And I have puberty wrongs
No one understood me
Oh, my teeth were so long
And no one made me stop

A Midwest monster
Of the highest grade
All my teachers thought
It was growing pains, oh no no
Somebody stop this pain, ohhh…
